Selecting a memorial is not a matter to be rushed because of the large range of materials and designs that are available; we certainly recommend discussing this with one of our memorial consultants so that you can consider the varying merits of the different options open to you. It is also very important to understand any restrictions that govern what you may select for the memorial. Quite often, particularly in churchyards, only specific materials and designs are permitted and occasionally there are guidelines towards the suitability of inscriptions. Prior to erecting a memorial, the burial authority (church or cemetery) has to approve the design of the memorial and inscription so it is important to have the correct information from the beginning to avoid disappointment.
We will arrange for the appropriate application to be prepared and submitted on your behalf
Our memorial consultants will provide advice as to the appropriate type of lettering to suit the material selected. Scale proofs will be provided for approval prior to the inscription being engraved.
We can also arrange for matching sandblast, machine or hand cut additional inscriptions to be engraved on existing memorials.
Memorials can be cleaned either on site or in a workshop. A survey will be carried out and a written quotation will be provided.
